Torrance Beach Cottage Transformation

This full-home renovation in Torrance reimagined a traditional space into a charming beach cottage with thoughtful updates and modern functionality. Designed for a growing young family, the original 2-bed, 2-bath home was transformed into a spacious 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom home with a dedicated office, creating a more comfortable and functional layout for their future.

The project included a 457 sq. ft. addition, introducing a new bedroom, bathroom, and office while seamlessly integrating with the existing structure. To enhance livability, we completed a full electrical rewire, a new HVAC system, and a flooring remodel throughout. The interior was improved with new drywall, fresh paint, and a minor space reconfiguration to optimize flow and comfort.

To provide additional privacy between key living spaces, interior insulation was installed, ensuring a quieter, more comfortable home.

A standout feature of this transformation was the exterior makeover—we removed the original stucco and installed new siding, creating the quintessential beach cottage aesthetic. Additional enhancements included a new entryway, home office, custom built-in, exterior porch with a railing system, and a roof remodel—all designed to bring in natural light and improve curb appeal.

The result is a warm, inviting home that captures the essence of beachside living while providing the space and functionality this family needs for years to come.
